A rhizome in the ginger family, dried and ground into the golden powder of Thai kitchens and skincare.
Butterfly pea (anchan)
A climbing vine whose deep-blue flowers colour Thai teas, rice and hair care.
An upright annual herb with narrow leaves and small white flowers, grown across Thailand for its very bitter leaves.

A creeping plant with round, scalloped leaves that spreads along damp ground; eaten fresh and pressed into a green drink.
